Craft Coffee Roaster Expands Line with Relyf CBD Offerings

Revelator Coffee in Birmingham will release the first CBD-infused drink in the Magic City. The CBD, or cannabidiol, will come courtesy of Relyf™, a Birmingham-based CBD producer and educational resource.

The Golden Latte with Relyf CBD features turmeric and ginger infused into slightly sweetened milk, and with the addition of safe, non-intoxicating cannabidiol, the concoction will offer a soothing and natural mood lift. A hot cup of tea is an ideal vessel for CBD, as the compound’s effects are enhanced by heat.  

“We strive to create an environment that supports relaxation and focus, so we’re excited to partner with Relyf to explore the potential that CBD may offer with our coffees and teas,” says Meredith Singer, Executive Director of Brand Strategy and Marketing. Singer describes the Golden Latte as “a glowing infusion of turmeric and ginger amplified by Relyf CBD, sweetened and served hot or over ice.” Revelator’s other specialty drinks and lattes may be also be modified with CBD at the customer’s request.

The compound has been the subject of numerous studies, and research suggests the incredible potential to promote mental acuity, improved mood, and a clear mind, as well as a long list of other possible wellness benefits.

The 2018 Farm Bill officially established that CBD is legal to grow and distribute in all 50 states. With consumer interest and availability on the rise, the compound is already available in oil drops, capsules, and topical creams. Now Revelator and Relyf are experimenting on the cutting edge of CBD’s culinary potential.
